CHRISTIAN EDUCATION

In the "Great Commission" Jesus gives us three instructions: make disciples, baptize disciples and teach them to obey His commandments. We take this very seriously at Smyrna. We want to learn what God instructs and we do this through Christian Education for all ages and stages in the Christian journey of faith. We have Sunday School classes, Bible Studies, Children, Youth, Women and Men's small groups, and many other opportunities for learning. As we learn we grow in knowledge and understanding of God's commandments. You might say, Study is loving and obey Him with our minds." Come, Let us Reason, that's what God says.
Sunday School		Youth Ministries

Smyrna's Media Center exists to encourage Biblical knowledge and spiritual growth by providing Christian materials for study and leisure use. Resources include non-fiction and fiction books, Bibles, commentaries, maps, games, group Bible study kits, cd's, video and audio tapes. Materials for all age groups are available for check-out.

Our Middle and High School students have various events going on at the church on a weekly basis. On Wednesday nights we have bible study. The evening starts with dinner at 6:00pm then at 7:00pm we join together in the youth building for our intensive bible study. We adjourn at 8:00pm. On Sunday nights we have youth group. We meet at the youth building at 5:00pm where we go and play some form of recreational activity till 6:00pm. After that we are joined together in the youth building where we eat dinner immediately followed by updating our prayer board and a short bible lesson. Normally on Sunday nights is our close fellowship time and we only have a short bible lesson that day. On Wednesdays is when we really dig deep into the word.

WOMEN'S BIBLE STUDY: The Smyrna Women's Bible Study meets on Tuesday mornings from 9:30am to noon in McDaniel Hall from September -May. (We do not meet on Tuesdays that Rockdale Public Schools are not in sessions.) Our studies include different books of the Bible and/or topics that are designed to help women to know Jesus Christ and grow in a relationship with Him.

We are an intergenerational group which is open to the community. We enjoy seeing new faces of all ages. A nursery is provided free of charge and a light meal is served after the Bible Study for all those who would like to stay and share a time of fellowship.
