What is GOD calling you to do?

Here at Smyrna we understand "The Great Ends of the Church" to be carried out in these five ways:

  1. First and foremost God calls us to WORSHIP him.  The chief end of man is to glorify God and enjoy him forever.
  2. The purpose of FELLOWSHIP is to connect people to the family of God.
  3. DISCIPLESHIP/GROWTH (Christian Education) helps us deepen our own faith and fulfill the Great Commission in our community.
  4. MINISTRY/SERVICE - discover and use your gifts and talents to serve God and God's people.
  5. MISSION is participating in God's activity in the World.

WHERE DO YOU FIT IN THE PICTURE?

The Special Needs Ministry is part of a continuing effort to accommodate our families with members who have special needs. Individualized adaptations have been made so that these members and their families can participate in the fellowship, worship and work of Smyrna Presbyterian. Our facility provides equal access. Though this ministry is still in its fledgling stages, it is our hope that one day that any person of varying capabilities can enter our church and find a home where they can worship in peace and know their family members are being provided for in an appropriate manner. Volunteers are still needed and training will be provided. Contact Stephanie Smith if you are interested in being part of this ministry.
Stephen Ministry Stephen Ministry is a a lay caring ministry, where members of our congregation are trained to listen with the care Christ would offer.
